STEP BY STEP

Let's make something delicious.

  1. 01

For the yeast dough, stir the dried yeast and sugar into the lukewarm milk until smooth. Mix the flour, salt and vanilla sugar in a bowl. Make a well in the centre and pour in the yeast mixture.

  2. 02

Add the butter in small pieces along with the egg. Knead by hand until you have a smooth dough. Cover with a clean tea towel and leave to rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, until doubled in volume.

  3. 03

For the filling, mix the softened butter, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla sugar in a bowl.

  4. 04

On a lightly floured work surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle about 3 mm thick. Spread the filling thinly over the dough. Roll up from a long edge and cut into 6 equal pieces.

  5. 05

Place the cinnamon buns in the silicone muffin mould of the stovetop camping oven. Cover with the lid and leave to rise again for about 20 minutes.

  6. 06

Preheat the oven over a high flame for 10 minutes, then reduce the flame to approximately 1/3. Bake the cinnamon buns at about 200 °C for 25–30 minutes.

  7. 07

Remove the cinnamon buns, leave to cool and dust with icing sugar.
