STEP BY STEP

Let's make something delicious.

  1. 01

Boil the potatoes in plenty of salted water until soft. Bring the milk to the boil in a separate saucepan, remove from the heat and season with nutmeg, salt and pepper.

  2. 02

Mash the potatoes or press them through a potato ricer, then stir in the seasoned milk.

  3. 03

Season the mince with salt and pepper and fry in a frying pan with a little vegetable oil, breaking it up until crumbly. Peel and finely dice the onion, then add it to the mince.

  4. 04

Peel and finely grate the carrots, then briefly sauté them with the mince. Deglaze with the red wine and simmer everything together for about 10 minutes. Set the mince mixture aside.

  5. 05

Cut the savoy cabbage into fine strips and briefly fry in a hot frying pan with a little vegetable oil until lightly browned.

  6. 06

Put the mince mixture into a large ovenproof dish. Spread the fried savoy cabbage over it, then layer the mashed potato on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C, using conventional top and bottom heat, for 20 minutes.

  7. 07

Sprinkle with fresh herbs before serving.
