STEP BY STEP

Let's make something delicious.

  1. 01

Cut the Maultaschen into strips about 0.5 cm thick. Grease an ovenproof dish with butter and add the Maultaschen strips.

  2. 02

Peel the onion and garlic and cut into thin strips. Heat one tbsp butter in a saucepan and gently sauté the onion and garlic over a medium heat.

  3. 03

Wash the spinach, spin dry and add to the saucepan. Sauté for 5 minutes, turning constantly, then spread over the Maultaschen.

  4. 04

Crumble the feta and scatter over the spinach. Toast the pine nuts in a non-stick frying pan without fat over a medium heat for 5–6 minutes, turning constantly, until golden brown.

  5. 05

Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the flour and cook briefly. Pour in the vegetable stock and milk and bring to the boil, whisking constantly. Simmer the sauce for 3–4 minutes and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

  6. 06

Pour the béchamel sauce over the Maultaschen. Bake in a preheated oven at 165 °C fan or 180 °C conventional heat for 20 minutes until golden brown.
