STEP BY STEP

Let's make something delicious.

  1. 01

Preheat the oven to 180 °C (160 °C fan). Mix the minced beef and quark thoroughly in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. With damp hands, shape into cherry-sized meatballs.

  2. 02

Peel and crush the garlic. Peel and finely dice the onion. Rinse the beans in a sieve and leave to drain.

  3. 03

Heat the olive oil in a frying pan. Fry the meatballs for 5 minutes, turning to brown them all over, then remove from the pan. Fry the onion and garlic in the oil. Add the tomatoes and beans and bring briefly to the boil. Return the meatballs to the pan and simmer for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to an ovenproof dish (approx. 25 x 20 cm).

  4. 04

Drain the mozzarella, tear into rough pieces and distribute over the bake. Bake on the second shelf from the bottom for approx. 10 minutes, until the cheese has slightly melted. Garnish with basil.
