STEP BY STEP

Let's make something delicious.

  1. 01

Cook the pasta in a large saucepan of boiling salted water for 8 minutes until al dente. Drain in a colander.

  2. 02

Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Wash the cherry tomatoes, remove the stalk ends and halve the tomatoes. Heat the olive oil in a non-stick frying pan and sweat the onion and garlic until translucent. Add the Italian herbs and cook briefly. Add the passata and cream and bring everything to the boil. Simmer over a medium heat for 3–4 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and sugar. Add the cherry tomatoes and fold them in. Cut the mozzarella into thin slices.

  3. 03

Preheat the oven to 180 °C fan (200 °C conventional).

  4. 04

Layer the pasta and tomato and cream sauce alternately in an ovenproof dish. Top with the mozzarella and bake on the middle shelf for approx. 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and serve garnished with fresh basil.
